Surprise Wedding Proposal on the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton ::: Manvir & Avneet

There are photo sessions… and then there are moments. This was a moment.

Manvir and Avneet traveled to Cape Breton to experience the beauty of the Cabot Trail, and for Manvir, to pull off the ultimate surprise. He and I had been planning the proposal, figuring out locations, coordinating timing, and hoping the weather would cooperate. (Spoiler: we just barely made it before the skies opened up.)

The spot he chose? I will let you try and figure it out! But…it had sweeping views of the coastline, cliffs that drop into the Atlantic, and that classic wild Cape Breton energy in the air.

I was trying to blend in nearby, pretending to be just another tourist taking in the view. Camera ready, waiting for the moment. When Manvir dropped to one knee, it was game time, and all I could think was “sweet, I didn’t screw it up!” Avneet’s reaction was awesome, total shock, then pure joy and smiles.

This is why I love doing these kinds of sessions. There’s a realness to them that hits differently. The nerves, the surprise, the happiness you can’t fake. It's such an honor to be there when two people take that huge step, and to help capture that moment.
