Nearly Two Decades of Weddings at The Inverary Resort in Baddeck

I have photographed weddings at The Inverary Resort in Baddeck for nearly 20 years, and I still get excited every time I book a wedding there.

There’s something about this place, maybe it’s the lakeside light, the outdoor ceremonies, or how the lakeside dock sunset. It’s one of those venues that has everything you need, without feeling staged. Just honest, natural beauty.

I’ve shot big weddings here, tiny elopements, rainy days, sunny ones, windy ones, and it always delivers. The staff have always been great, and the whole place just has a way of making people feel relaxed.

From the ceremony lawn by the water, fire pits, gardens, and little secret spots you discover over time, The Inverary has become one of a kind, in my opinion, not to mention the surrounding area of Baddeck being incredible for photos.

There are so many incredible venues across Cape Breton, and I feel lucky to have worked at all of them. But Inverary? It’s one I’ll never get tired of.
